Important habits of a small business owner

The 3 fundamental habits that are important for a small business owner to establish and maintain to be successful are:

1. Unshakable determination to succeed. Being a small business owner is always a challenge, and in this down economy, it is really a challenge. To be successful you must have a never give up attitude.

2. Measurable goal setting. You have to know what you want to achieve to be able to achieve it.

3. Strict time management to increase productivity. In this world of never ending emails, texts, faxes, cell phone calls, and other interruptions, a small business owner must be able to focus on getting important work done and creating a wall to block him/herself from all of the interruptions. My way of dealing with this is by writing down a list of 5 important projects I have to get done each day and then I focus my time on completing those projects. While I work on a project I do not check email, take calls, or allow myself to be interrupted. This really helps me get the work done that must be completely each day for my small business to be successful.

To your business success!
